The most popular and expensive saris are the silk saris, especially in South India. It is common for the bride to be attired in a red silk sari. This collection of saris has woven in designs in gold or silver, embroidery or beadwork, prints etc. Silk saris are worn for weddings, formal occasions and festivals.
